ARTER produced Traces by Amos Gitaï at the Palais de Tokyo
Exploring the questions of identity and exile, from memory and history, the films of Amos Gitä illicit a reflection about the past and the present, the necessity of transmission, and the role of art.
The filmmaker pursues this line of questioning by proposing, at the Palais de Tokyo, a vast video and sound installation designed as an intimate and emotional experience within a collective history. Occupying the gutted basement of the Palais, he has created an exceptionally dense visual and sound tour through images extracted from his films.
