The Luxembourg Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia presents « La Merde » by Aline Bouvy, an immersive audiovisual installation commissioned for the Pavilion.

Structured as a cinematographic essay, the work addresses shame as a social mechanism and examines how bodies are classified, regulated, and rendered visible or invisible within systems of power.

The installation combines film, spatialized sound, and a mirror-clad steel architecture that continuously reconfigures the viewer’s perception of space and identity.

ARTER provided project management assistance for the Luxembourg Pavilion.
